Yes, I have been lazy. I haven’t posted here for a while. My last post was about running and I haven’t done that for a while as well. The north east of Victoria is on fire and the town I live in has been in smoke over that last week or so. The temperature has been high as well which is discouraging when I want to get home and go for a run. I’ve been using the pool more often though. I can’t believe I am such a bad swimmer Anyway now that I have a pool at home, there is no excuse not to learn to swim.

I have been working on the backyard almost all weekends now. First pulled out this large section of plants that I did not like and cut down some trees because they where in the wrong spot and growing everywhere. Went shopping for palm trees but they where too costly(I have no money) and take too long to grow. Last weekend I sprayed the lawn to get rid of the weeds. Also been moving some dirt to fill up the holes I dug. I was too tired after a while to carry on working in the afternoon. This weekend I need to get rid of all the garden waste, finish filling the holes, sow patches of the lawn and fence them so my pets can’t destroy the sowed seeds.

For the past few months, Megan and I have been house hunting. I should admit that we are not as excited as we where when we started
There are good houses in bad locations
Bad houses in good locations
Pools that take up the whole backyard (Dogs cannot be in the pool all the time)
Split level houses (I am not a fan of split levels, just in case one of us starts sleepwalking)
Bad kitchen houses
Ugly toilet houses
Smelly carpet houses

All this when the market is down, so its real good time for buyers! Its the sellers who have to present the house to get the most out of it. The buyers are the choosers for now! Except for few houses that where well presented the rest where all ok or bad. The worst of all was when the seller does not provide enough information about the house before the inspection. Few of the houses we visited, where disappointing. As soon as we entered the house, I knew it was not what I wanted and could not wait to leave but had to look around just so I am not rude to the real estate agent

Anyway, we ended up putting in an offer for a house we thought was the best we could afford in the right location. The negotiation took so long that we did not even feel excited when we finally agreed upon a price. Megan was stressed out half way though the negotiation. Well, the result of all this was that we are moving in two weeks time and we have not started packing yet! The weekend we get our keys for the house, we are away attending a friends weeding. When we return we will have one week to move houses, since the coming weekend someone wants to move into the house we are renting now. Its going to be a busy few weeks.
