The opposition leader Kevin Rudd has promised to investment in a national broadband network if his party wins the next election. In Australia we do have access to broadband but compared to the rest of the world we are lagging behind.
John Howard on the other hand seems to be happy to call 512kbs/sec as broadband.

Saddam denied, what he denied Iraqis

Last night Saddam was denied what he has denied the people of Iraq, justice, a free trial in an international court.
As bad as he was, I don’t think anyone deserves the death penalty.

Came across a post on the Sydney Morning Herald about John Howard meeting with Exclusive Brethren Christian sect members. It seems this group has a no-voting stance! Voting in Australia is compulsory, but this group(according to John) can BREAK THE LAW and get away with it. Double standards?
