(awkward English) I got it too and I think it has been a waste of money: it works slowly, GPS included only one town (no a country), Internet run slowly even with UMTS working properly, the pen touch does not always work as it should.

Yes Priya, it certainly has been a long time. I spoke to Chithra chithi and Ranjani the other day and the image I have of Ranjani is when she was little. Hopefully if things go according to plan I will visit this year.

Came across this post from googling. Have you got your Benro yet? What do you think? I’ve had a Benro KS-2 for about a year and it seems to work fine, but I’ve seen some negative reviews by others. Curious how yours is working out. Like you, I’ve never had one till I got my Benro.

Thanks guys. I will check if the local Harvey Norman or Camerahouse has the Manfrotto 3021, just to get a feel of it.

I use Manfrotto 3021 legs with a 388 ball head and have come to love it and the weight is not really that bad. I got the extra strap that enables you to carry it easily and was worth it in my opinion.

I am looking to sell my Manfrotto 3021 BN tripod and a head. Its not CF but it’s not that heavy either. Have used it for 2 years and now I am doing mostly streets so I have to hang onto a monopod:)

the good CF ones for nature photography (esp if youre using a long lens) could be as high as 1500 USD including the long lens mount.
